santaA train ride plus Santa usually equals a happy kid!!!  I know it does my children!!!  What a fabulous fun family idea to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway for the holidays! This is such a great way to kick off Christmas time with your kids and celebrate the magic of Santa with them. (remember these years go by quickly so don’t let it pass you by).  Beginning November 29th, you can celebrate the Christmas spirit in two different types of train rides.

If you prefer the day time and a little more affordable price, you can choose the Santa Express ride.  This ride consists of a one hour short trip designed definitely for the attention span of a real little kiddo!  Your children will be all smiles while spending some time with Santa, singing carols and hearing the Christmas story.  On this ride, they also will receive a Blue Ridge Scenic Railway momento, Christmas activity book and a candy cane.  Tickets for this express ride are $38 for adults and $23 for kids up to age 13.

If you would like the longer version of the holiday ride, you would choose the night train to Santa’s pavillion. This is a longer version of the ride.  Round trip it is four hours with a two hour layover in the adorable town of McCaysville where you can enjoy multiple shops and restaurants.  Santa will visit on the train with the children as well as in the holiday pavillion.  Your child can get their photo taken with Santa as well and also receive a momento and candy cane.  The cost of this ride is $46 per adult and $25 per child.  Book your reservation soon because these get filled up very fast!!!  Hope you have a great time and make some Christmas memories that last forever.
