light-up-blue-ridgeI can’t believe there is only a little over two weeks till Thanksgving !! You can figure out the math and know how close it is till Christmas!  I’ll try not to stress you out with that!  However, let’s take the time to enjoy some fun holiday activities over these next weeks.  If you missed my last idea, check it out here.  So many fun things are always going on in the North Georgia Mountains and the holidays are no exception!

Who has had the opportunity to visit Fannin County during “Light Up Blue Ridge.?”  If you haven’t, then you should definitely make plans for it this year.  It is a full day of fun for the entire family!  On November 30th, Blue Ridge will be exploding with all kinds of holiday fun.  Beginning at 10:30, you can enjoy the sounds of Tuba Christmas.  Beautiful music performed by almost 40 tuba players that have amazing talent.  After they play, Santa Clause will arrive on the train.  Oh to see the kids faces when this happens.  Definitely bring the cameras for that!

After you enjoy the morning of the music and the excitement of Santa, the parade will begin at 11:30 and music will be happening all day.  You can enjoy all the great shops as they will be open and you can window shop and experience a fun true downtown experience.  There are plenty of great restaurants in the area to enjoy such as Cantaberry’s or Harvest on Main just to name a few!  Also, the ice skating rink is open this day to get even more energy out of those kiddos!!!  Then, you must stay to see the beautiful lighting of the tree!  Even the biggest scrooges can’t leave this without getting in the holiday spirit!  Enjoy and let me know what your favorite part of light of Blue Ridge is!
