helicopter-toursCooler weather will definitely be heading our way before much longer.  It has been great in the mountains the past few weeks with very limited rain and lots of sunshine.  Today I would like to write about my #10 idea for upcoming fall fun!  This one is for the person that likes a little bit of adventure and staring down at a lot of fall beauty…The Blue Ridge Helicopter Tours~!

They offer many exciting tours around the beautiful town of Blue Ridge.  For $40 you can get an introductory tour . This flight experience will take you on an 8 mile (~8 minutes) trip over downtown Blue Ridge, Lake Blue Ridge and through the beautiful mountainous area.  This is a great way to see how you like the helicopter and then you can book an extended tour.  In the fall, it is absolutely gorgeous to fly and see all of God’s colorful beauty below.

Some of the other great options of attractions to see are Lake Blue Ridge, Toccoa River, Ocoee River (site of 1996 Olympic event) Burra Burra Mines, Amicalola Falls, Fields of the Woods (world’s largest display of the 10 commandments) and much more.  There are many ways to enjoy seeing beautiful fall leaves and from the view of a helicopter has to be one of my favorites.  Take time to enjoy this adventure this fall!!
