Now it is becoming closer for sure…we have hit September! Fall fun is just around the corner and I can’t wait! What about you? I have already touched on several North Georgia Mountains fall fun suggestions, but there are 12 more ideas coming up! Today is #8! How about making plans to attend a fall hoedown at one of Georgia’s most popular state parks….Vogel!
Located in Blairsville, Vogel is one of the oldest parks in Georgia (and one of my very favorite!) So, if you have not had the opportunity to visit this great park, definitely put it on the fall bucket list! On October 19th from 12 to 8, you can celebrate autumn’s arrival with chili at noon, hot dogs and drinks for sale, followed by a 3pm cake walk, a 4pm hayride, 5pm bonfire and square/line dancing, 6pm trunk or treats, 7pm storytelling and much more!
All this fun for a $5 parking fee and $3 per person~ You know you say you come to these things for the kids but end up having just as much fun as they do!!! If you can’t make it on the 19th, they also have a fun Mountain Music and Arts and Crafts Festival on September 14th. If you missed my last idea of fall fun, check it out here….Hope you get to enjoy making some fabulous memories in the North Georgia Mountains!
