2012 Annual Turkey Trot – Thanksgiving Day – Blue Ridge

The Mountain Life Team Blogger October 29, 2012

Get those athletic shoes on and bring the family for the annual Blue Ridge Turkey Trot!!!  On Thanksgiving Day, Blue Ridge will be giving back to the community by each running, walking participant paying a $17 fee to join this fabulous event.  All proceeds will be donated to various charities in Fannin County.

Also, bring a can good or non perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank.  At this fabulous event, you will anything from the serious jogger, to the child running to the parent pushing babies in the stroller.  You must register on their website ahead of time to be eligible to receive a t-shirt on the day of the event.

This is a great athletic event to get exercise, have family time together on Thanksgiving and to give back to the community.  After this event, come eat at Harvest on Main and let them do all the cooking for you.  You are sure to enjoy an amazing Thanksgiving meal there!  Have a great day whether you are a current resident or one that has chosen to visit the beautiful North Georgia Mountains on your holiday!
