We can hardly believe it!  It’s officially Fall & we’re already feeling the crisp Fall air.  We’re starting to see the vibrant colors peaking along the mountains, as Summer comes to a close here in the Georgia Mountains.  We cordially invite you to our Georgia Mountains, where you will enjoy a variety of awesome Fall Festivals.  If you’re up visiting North Georgia Mountains, trying to find your mountain dream home, schedule around some of these amazing festivals.

Indian Summer Festival
Woody Gap School
October  6- 8, 9am-5pm
This fabulous festival, benefiting the Woody Gap School in Suches, GA, takes place every year on the first weekend in October. Activities include a Craft Show, 10K Run, Country Square Dance, Weaponry Demonstration, Auction, Play performed by Elementary Students, and Much More!

Run Above the Clouds
Suches Community Center
October 6 9am
These 10K and 5K road races take place over a beautifully scenic, challenging out-and-back course through the North Georgia mountains and serve as the kick-off events for the Indian Summer Festival. There is also a 1-mile fun run, over a mostly flat course.

Sorghum Festival
Meeks Park
October 13, 14 & 20, 21, 2018 9am-5pm
Blairsville’s longest running festival celebrates the ancient art of cooking sweet syrup from Sorghum Cane. Visitors enjoy sorghum syrup making demonstrations in addition to contests such as “Biskit” Eatin’, Pole Climbin’, Log Sawin’, Rock Throwin’, and Horseshoe Throwin’.

Georgia Mountain Fall Festival

Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Hiawassee, GA
Fall is a beautiful time of the year in North GA at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Make plans to come and enjoy music, art & craft, great food and the Pioneer Village.

Fall Festival  at Vogel State Park

October 27, 12pm-7pm
Celebrate autumn’s arrival with a cakewalk, hayrides, and food during the day and a campfire, dancing, and storytelling at night.

Good Neighbors Car and Truck Show

More than 200 cars and trucks (old and new) “show off” at the Good Neighbors Auto Show.
