If you live in the Union County area or are visiting Blairsville for this upcoming weekend, mark your calendars for a special showing of a National Georgraphic Film called American Wild Spaces: the Appalachian Trail, this Friday, November 9th from 7 to 9pm.
This event will be hosted by the Union County Historical Society at the Old Union County Courthouse on the square in Blairsville. In addition to the film, hear from two young men from Union County, Grady and Harrison Garner, who are completing their through-hike of the Appalachian Trail in October. There will also be brief presentations by Frank Wright who is featured in the movie, and Donnie Kelley, the Appalachian Trail Community Ambassador for Blairsville-Union County.
