A Day for the Pets – Blue Ridge Georgia!

The Mountain Life Team Blogger September 18, 2012

Are you a big animal lover?  I am and there is nothing I love more than seeing owners that adore their pets, take care of them and are so proud of them that they want to show them off!  If this describes you, then you need to pack your “pooch” up for a North Georgia Mountain outing called Paws in the Park.

Paws in the Park will be held Saturday, October 20th in the downtown Blue Ridge Park area.  There will be a fun parade of pets and their two legged friends that love them more than anything!!  The parade will begin at 10 am.  There will be a pet costume contest, blessings of the pet, pet photographs, exhibitors, arts and crafts, raffles, local music and wonderful food.  All of the proceeds will go to benefit the Humane Society of Blue Ridge to help with vet bills, spay and neuter program, education programs and for the future adoption center.

I know there are plenty of tourists as well as locals that bring their pets often to the downtown area.  You can’t walk in downtown Blue Ridge without hearing, “awe – look how cute”  or “where in the world did you get that adorable pink tutu your dog is wearing?”  I’m looking forward to Paws in the Park and seeing all your adorable buddies.  I just may have to dress up my Jack Russell if he can be still long enough and take him to the Blue Ridge Park!!!  I can’t wait to see all your canine friends~
