You have heard me say it more than once…we celebrate EVERYTHING in the mountains! We are all about the blessings of good grown fruits and vegetables! This Saturday from 11 to 6, come out to the beautiful Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris,Georgia! You can be a part of celebrating in the 6th annual Tomato Festival!
At the festival, you will hear the band “Cornbread Ted and the Butterbeans”! Now if that band name doesn’t make you know you are in the south, I don’t know what will! For $20 a ticket, you can enjoy wine, food, vendors and lots more!
Crane Creek is family owned and has 12 acres of vineyards where they grow their grapes and make a variety of wine including European varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. They also grow the old world French American hybrid varieties of Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc and Villard Noir along with the modern hybrid Chardonel. The native American varieties Norton and Catawba round out their unique varietal collection.
Come for the Tomato Festival or if you can’t make it this coming weekend, definitely pay them a visit. They also have a guest house where you can stay on site there as well. While you are here, call us at The Mountain Life Team to show you some wonderful homes and cabins in the Young Harris and Hiawassee areas!
