Love the Arts and Theater??- Try Blue Ridge Community Theater!!

The Mountain Life Team Blogger October 2, 2012

What a wonderful cultural aspect that the Blue Ridge Community Theater adds to the North Georgia Mountains.  A completely volunteer ran, non- profit organization that strives to give residents and visitors to the Blue Ridge area an environment that supports the creativity of the arts.

In operation for 11 years, the theater bought it’s own building in 2008.  They have 171 extra wide seats with cupholders to provide added comfort for their guests.   There are so many fabulous shows that have been performed there throughout the years.  They are currently showing Vincent for two more weeks.  I hear it is a fabulous performance!  They also are having live music in between their shows which has been a lot of fun.  On Friday nights of each opening weekend, there are cast parties as well as audience talkbacks.

There are so many volunteer opportunities available at this theater.  Also, there are a variety of acting, directing and light and sound classes to take part in.  They focus on children as well the the Sunny D Theater programs.  When life slows down for me (or does that even happen when you have two young kids), I would love to take part in these classes because I have always loved acting and theater.

I highly encourage if you are visiting the area, to take in a show at the theater.  Also, if you are a resident in the mountains and have never been here, you must take advantage of one of the awesome things that surround you!  While you are visiting, call us at North Georgia Mountain Real Estate and we can show you some fabulous homes in the mountain area.  You may decide to make this your permanent or secondary residence!  Just think, if that happened, you could get season tickets to this awesome community theater!  Enjoy!
