Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Fall Foliage

Chad Lariscy October 27, 2015

scenic railwayThe Fall Season is an amazing time in North Georgia and one of the most historical activities to do here lies in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge, GA. It’s the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway which is a part of the Appalachian history of North Georgia and such a neat experience. This 100 year old railway played such a significant role in the development of North Georgia in the 1800’s and early 1900’s hauling freight, timber, and more.  Now you can experience history while taking a railway excursion of 26 miles round trip (4 hours) from Blue Ridge to McCaysville & Copperhill, TN which winds along the Toccoa River. There’s a 2 hour layover in McCaysville to enjoy lunch, shopping or a nice stroll across the old bridge in town to see Toccoa River. Purchase your tickets online HERE or call 877-413-TRAIN press Option 1 to reserve your tickets.

We hope you love North Georgia just as much as we do.  When you’re ready to make these hills your home or home away from home- call us and we’ll help you every step of the way!  The Mountain Life Team | KW Realty Partners – 706-745-3123 or info@themountainlifeteam.com
