Dixie Dock Dogs are back in Blue Ridge this year at Fannin County’s Cohutta Country Store. Last year was a absolute blast watching these smart dogs do tricks and rooting on my favorite canine! Also known as dock jumping, the sport of dock diving is a rapidly growing sport in the United States. Most competitions are held in a regulation dock diving pool, while some competitions are in a natural body of water.
The Dixie Dock Dogs hold competitions all over Georgia and they are coming back to Blue Ridge on the 21st through the 23rd. The event format for this 3 day challenge is Outdoor Big Air, Extreme Vertical, Speed Retrieve, and Iron Dog scoring will be offered for dogs who compete in all 3 formats. Visit Dixie Dock Dogs for membership and registration information and to see what the Cohutta’s Blue Ridge Challenge is all about or get more info by calling The Cohutta Country Store at 706-946-6366. (Check out the Mountain Life Teams video on this awesome store!)
Come and be a part of the Blue Ridge Challenge! While you are there you can enjoy the country store, Pete’s Place for dinner as well as the new Cohutta Cove Mini Golf that is on site. Have a blast and for more information on North Georgia Mountain events, always check out our event calendar.
