This beautiful lake is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National forest.
Activities on this beautiful lake include fishing for the prized striped bass, rainbow trout and even walleye. This scenic lake area has campgrounds for RV’s , tents and cabins are available for rent right near the lake. There is also a marina on the lake where can rent boats.
The area of Lake Nottely is located in Union county with the only incorporated city being Blairsville. Blairsville is the county seat and the hub of this fastest growing area in all of Georgia. The area has major chain stores within the area offering all the comforts of civilization. This beautiful area is popular with retirees who have access to many nearby bigger cities like Asheville, Atlanta and Chattanooga .
Blairsville is the hub and county seat of the area located in Union county. This is the home of the historic and towering Union County Courthouse which houses a museum and holds monthly concerts.

Most of Union County is located in the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest and has the highest point located in Georgia named Brasstown Bald which has a visitors center. Another real gem is located not far from this point in Union County called Vogel State Park.
This beautiful park is a popular destination in the fall for hikers and has lots of trails to explore. There are also campsites and cabins available in the park. This is the most popular park in Georgia and also has a nice lake allowing only boats without motors.
The park is rich in history and can be seen around the grounds. There are plenty of restaurants in the Blairsville area offering homemade southern cooking and also chain restaurants available.
