Yes folks, spring will be here before we know it!!! It is that time again to get ready for the 17th annual Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race on April 12th and 13th. For those of you unfamiliar with this race, this race began as Georgia’s first adventure race and 17 years later, remains one of the most popular and favorite races in the southeast. What a great time was had by all last year and I’m looking forward to it again!
This year, there will be two races in one! There will be the “elite real deal” race that requires navigation and a sports race with a map that does not require navigation. As always this race will be full of the beauty of the mountains, many surprises along the way and an awesome meal at the finish line! Sounds like something to definitely motivate me!
On Sunday the 13th will be the kids race. This will take place at the popular Mercier Orchards from 10 to 1 on Sunday. The kids race requires a willing adult 18 or older to be with the child and it is for ages 7 to 12. The fun they will have includes running, paddling, archery and some mystery events mixed in there!! What a great way to get the kids away from the video games and tv and enjoy some real outdoor fun and exercise.
Register here and check out more details on this awesome race. Hope to see you there!!!
