It’s about that time again! Get your cowboy/cowgirl gear ready for some serious fun! August 16th and 17th, the 16th annual Kiwanis Blue Ridge Rodeo will take place at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds.
This year there are even more great events. Some will include: bareback riding, bronco riding, barrell racing, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping and BULL RIDING! They will also have the famous steer dressing contest, calf scramble, and a LADIES calf scramble! This year, there will also be a BOOT TOSS, which will consist of a drawing of five registered participants that will toss a boot for chances to win $100 cash or a 2013 4×4 Dodge RAM.
The rodeo will begin at 8 but the gates will open early. There will be limited parking available at fairgrounds, but ETC (Ellijay Telephone Company) will be providing a FREE parking shuttle from the Kismet Manufacturing (old Levi building). Shuttle runs from 6:00 pm till 30 minutes after the rodeo.
If you have not had a chance to come to this rodeo before, this should be the year. My kids are already asking how many more weeks till it is here! While you are visiting, call The Mountain Life Team to show you some homes or cabins that could be yours in beautiful Blue Ridge or other surrounding North Georgia towns!
