This Saturday, January 25th, from 1 to 5, all beer lovers should stop by the Grumpy Old Men Brewery at 1315 East Main Street to taste some of their famous beers including ASKA Pale Ale, Hells Holler Porter, Devils Den IPA and Moon Over Blue Ridge Wheat Ale and to also get a tour! Those that know much about Blue Ridge, know these names have meanings!
While you are at the brewery on Saturday, you can also listen to music by Jim Richter and then afterwards, enjoy a fine dinner at one of the downtown restaurants such as Harvest on Main or Black Sheep to name just a few! That night, The Blue Ridge Community Theater will by hosting a Live Music is Better concert series show featuring “Korby Linker.” Arrive early in the day to visit many of the amazing downtown shops such as The Owl’s Nest and Blush 809. You can make a full day of it in one of Georgia’s coolest North Georgia Mountain towns.
Grumpy Old Men Brewery was formed in September 2012 by two retired men named Steve Weber and Chipley McKnight. As they say, they have graduated from home brewing to commercial brewing. Their motto is “If we don’t like it, we don’t drink it. If we don’t drink it, we don’t sell it” These guys are down to earth, love to have fun, and as they say, not work too hard.
