I enjoy researching the many great bed and breakfast places to stay as I am asked often of what are some suggestions when coming to the mountains. There are many to choose from depending on which part of the beautiful North Georgia Mountains you are wanting to visit. Recently I wrote about some great ones to stay in Blue Ridge. If you are heading more towards the Hiawassee area, The Bed & Breakfast at Swan Lake is a very quaint place to enjoy peacefulness and 107 acres of beautiful scenery. Owners Christine and Eric Briel have definitely make this gorgeous home a cozy, friendly and fun environment. There are several different rooms to choose from including The Hummingbird Hideaway, The Pink Lady Slipper and Cottage at Swan Lake that includes a full size kitchen. From these rooms you can see the beauty of Swan Lake and the Eagle Mountain Vista. Their website contains amazing pictures that depict all four seasons at this bed and breakfast. Many of the guest have enjoyed private fishing on Swan Lake, a gourmet breakfast served on the veranda (weather permitting), swinging for hours in the porch swing or just plain relaxing! Whatever you are seeking in your visit to Hiawassee, this cozy inn is a fabulous choice. While you are in this cute mountain town, stop by Cafe Portofino or Michaelees Chocolate Caffe for some great eats. Let me know what you think of your stay!
