Fall is one of my absolute favorite times of the year. Football, Festivals, Colorful Leaves and….Oh yes, Candy! Boy do I mean candy, and lots of it. I mentioned in a previous post about the Halloween Safe Zone over the mountain in Blue Ridge Georgia sponsored by the Blue Ridge Business Association. Well I didn’t know that Blairsville also had a similar event, but they do.
Hometown Halloween on the Square will be on Wednesday, October 31st.
Festivities will begin around 6:00 and last ‘til either the candy is gone or 8:00, which ever comes first.
This event is sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority and the Union County Historical Society. This years event will consist of costume contests, storytelling, children’s games, lots of activities and I am sure a whole bunch of fun! You could come up early and spend the day in the many shops around the square. You could go over to Cobb’s Mill, Habernos, or Papa’s Pizza and grab a bite to eat before all the fun begins. Who knows, you might even be interested in some Real Estate up here in these beautiful mountains…let me know, I’d be glad to help. I am sure we could see a couple of homes before the sun goes down. I won’t scare you….I promise!
Everyone is invited, and it will be fun for all ages. So load up Paw and Maw, heck throw in a costume first and then come on down to the square! I am really torn this year, I don’t know where I should go….Blairsville or Blue Ridge? Either way, I am sure that you can’t go wrong! Who will you be this year? Hope to see you all there and be extra safe!
