If you are a lover of animals and would love to come face to face with one of the most magnificent, yet endangered species, the gorilla, sign up for a group or private tour with Dewar Wildlife in Morganton, Georgia near Blue Ridge.   Tomorrow, November 24th and Saturday December 15th, there will be a rare opportunity to go on this tour that is generally not opened to the public.  This is a way for them to raise funds for their project.

The walking tours consist of seeing gorilla villas, the habitats, the veterinary hospital, the animal food prep room and much more.  The tour generally begins at 1pm and lasts up to 3 hours.  The cost for adults is $39 and children $19.

What a great and interesting experience to see these awesome creatures.  Dewar is an advanced holding facility for zoo gorillas with special needs.  The first gorilla came to Dewar in 2003.  Not only can you enjoy seeing one of God’s amazing animals up close and personal but you will be supporting a good cause.  Let me know if you go and what you thought of it!
