Make Plans for Kids Fishing Rodeo – June 8th!

fishing-rodeoGo ahead and get your little fisherman practiced up and ready to enjoy competing in a fishing rodeo on June 8th.  They will be held at two different parks.  Depending on where you live or where you will be vacationing,  you have your choice between a rodeo at Vogel State Park in Blairsville or Amicalola State Park.

At Vogel, this rodeo is for children 12 and under.  Wolf Creek will be stuffed with plenty of trout for your little angler fisherman.  There will be a few poles available but would be best to bring your own.  At Amicalola, this will be for kids 16 and younger.  Starts at 8am and ends at 10am.  That is when adults are able to start fishing!  There will be prizes awarded at each rodeo.

It’s always fun to see kids have a great time out in nature and doing something they enjoy!  So if you have a child that you think would really like this, bring them out this summer to one of these great state parks!
