The Union County History Society is hosting the Mountain Marketplace Heritage Festival in Blairsville located within the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the “Mountain Marketplace Heritage Festival” August 30th and 31st, 10am – 5pm each day at the Mountain Life Museum. You will enjoy demonstrations such as spinning, quilting, basket making, and chair caning, hands-on activities, Bluegrass music, and live animals around the 1906 Grapelle Mock home, 1861 Payne Cabin, the Duncan cabin, the Twiggs/Gray smokehouse, and other structures where the event is held.
Visitors will also find candles; twig and bark furniture and accessories; garden art; fiber and gourd art; honey; soaps; jewelry; photography; functional and decorative pottery; homemade sauces, canned goods, jams, jellies, and breads; wooden bird houses, bowls and vases; crocheted and quilted items; hand painted glassware; herbal products; and delicious food, snacks and beverages available for purchase on the grounds outside the heritage festivities.
