The Mountain Life Team Blogger March 14, 2013

st patricks dayIt is already mid March and time to celebrate Saint Patricks Day!! It’s hard to believe spring is right around the corner!  Are you in town visiting this weekend in the North Georgia Mountains?  There are plenty of fun things going on throughout the weekend including the opening of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Rollins Planetarium’s “The Little Star That Could”,  Fun Guided Day Hikes, The Helen Lewis Appalachian Seminar and much much more.

If you would like a good place to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day while you are here or perhaps you already live here and are looking for something fun to do on Sunday, here are a few options for you to consider:

***Saint Patrick’s at The Ridges Resort in beautiful Young Harris will be hosting a “beer tasting and Irish fixins’ dinner.”  $30 per person or $55 for the couple.  Come enjoy the music of Emerald Isle featuring Margie McDonald on the fiddle and Mike Robinson on the guitar.  If you have not had the pleasure of visiting the Ridges Resort, the beauty of it alone is worth the trip and money.

****2nd Annual St. Patty’s Open House in Hayesville, N.C.,  at the Licklog Players Theater.  There will be food, music and fun from 3:30 to 7pm.

****Ellijay’s beautiful Cartecay Vineyards will be celebrating St. Patty’s Day with live music with Tim McNary from 1 to 5pm.  $5 cover and $8 tasting fee.

Enjoy your stay in the mountains of North Georgia.  Please call us at The Mountain Life Team to show you a variety of cabins, homes and land in multiple areas of town including Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Hiawassee and Blairsville.
