Many people I talk to will often tell me to let them know when the mountain FALL festivals are coming up. Yes, those are always awesome. However, you don’t have to wait till fall for some great North Georgia Mountain Festival fun! This weekend, there are two festivals taking place! The Mountain Images and Crafts Festival and the Butternut Creek Festival.
The 15th annual Butternut Creek Festival will be held in Union County’s beautiful Meeks Park. It will take place on Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st from 10 to 5. This is always a great time and one of the finest juried arts and craft shows in the southeast. There will be a variety of things represented including basketry, fabric art, jewelry, photos and much more. This show is sponsored by the High Country Artisans.
The Mountain Images and Crafts Festival will be held in downtown McCaysville and Copperhill which are both located outside of Blue Ridge. This festival will be held on Saturday the 20th from 9 to 4. Photos, paintings, music, crafts and much more! Come to this cool place and tell your kids they can stand in two states at one time!!! After the festival, enjoy all of the quaint shops that this town has to offer. On your way to this festival, you can stop at the famous Mercier Orchards and do some berry picking!
Next week, I will write about the upcoming Green Bean Festival (again, we celebrate everything in the mountains) So go ahead and mark your calendars for July 27th for that one in Blairsville!!! While you are visiting, please contact the Mountain Life Team to let our highly skilled agents show you some great cabins in the Blue Ridge and Blairsville areas! You need your very own cabin to come to and stay to enjoy all these awesome mountain community events!!!
